Pixel Stacks has no sign-in. Saved books, lists, reading positions, notes, reading-time estimates, library-card details and checkout stamps stay in this browser’s IndexedDB. They are not sent to our servers. Recommendations are computed on this device from your recent reading and public catalog metadata. Clearing browser site data can remove them; export a backup if you want to keep them.
Normal hosting and network providers may process connection data, including IP addresses, under their own policies. The app does not attach IP addresses to a reader profile or store them in Pixel Stacks library database. This page does not make claims about third-party hosting logs.
Weather and location
The room uses approximate location from hosting geolocation headers when available. If hosting headers are absent, a server-side IP-location lookup may provide the approximate city; if that fails, the room uses clear weather. Local development can look up the city of the local public connection. The server rounds coordinates to about 1 km (two decimal places), requests current conditions from Open-Meteo, and keeps an in-memory cache by rounded location for about 15 minutes. The raw IP address is not sent to Open-Meteo. Browser location permission is never requested. You can choose a city in Display settings; the selection is stored in this browser.
City search sends the city text you type to the Open-Meteo geocoding service. Weather uses its free API, which its terms restrict to non-commercial use and require CC BY 4.0 attribution. Hosting/IP-location providers may independently process requests or connection data. Pixel Stacks has no payments, ads, subscriptions or advertising analytics.
